It's In The Newspaper So It Must Be True
Straits Times wrote an article about why SingTel's entry into the pay television market is an "uphill battle."
Of course, nowhere in the entire article was it disclosed that SPH, the publisher of Straits Times, is one of the top twenty shareholders of StarHub, SingTel's major competitor in pay TV market. SPH also owns a major chunk of the television operation business in MediaCorp at least since the "merger", which is also entering the pay TV market with its MobTV initiative.
Why does Straits Times think that it has any real sense of credibility?
